Michael:
While you *can* use a Wireless Access Point (WAP) to create an intranet
between devices, I will presume that you want to extend your internet
connected LAN. This means that you will need to connect your WAP to one of
your few existing ports. If they are all filled, then you will need to make
one of your existing devices wireless. It doesn't make sense to make the
printer wireless, since it is already hardwired and, typically, large
printers are not moved around. So I would suggest getting a wireless NIC
for an existing computer to free up a port for your WAP. Then new computers
could be added by using wireless NIC's.
BTW: Make sure you enable some sort of security on the WAP - MAC list or
password access. I prefer the MAC list method as it behaves just like a
hardwire solution.

Hi Folks: Trying to maximize the ports available in a small office...we are considering a wireless network. But we'd likely have to network our HP 4000TN this way. What can you tell me about how to do this via the JetDirect card in there...?
