10.3 fast user switching problem

        Ok, ok, so it's not a "problem"... but my 2x500MHz G4 w/
nVidia GeForce2 MX does *not* do the cube transition when I switch
between users. :(

        Does this rely on Quartz Extreme? Is there a quick & easy
way to ensure that QE is enabled? Or is there simply a way to toggle
the cube transition?
