Hi Eric,

I had this problem once with a graphite G4 and an HP 1220. I booted
the Mac with 9.1 extensions only (you could try 9.2.2 only). The
problem went away! So, then I started putting back the disabled
extensions, a few at a time, and rebooting. The printer continued to
work until I had just a few unnecessary extensions left which I
trashed. So, I'm not sure which one was causing the problem.

So, you might try booting with Mac OS extensions only, and see if it
fixes the problem.
