   Thanks, Roy and Ian. That's very good advice, which I should have
mentioned in the original posting.

   Since Paul asked, "Anyone have any ideas where I could get a few
spare (blank?) key tops for this keyboard?," in addition to getting
his PowerBook keyboard fixed, my thinking was that he was looking for
spares so he could perform ad-hoc repairs when needed. There are
times when leaving a machine in the shop for a day or two isn't
convenient, or when one's PowerBook is out in the field and far from
any repair depot.
