[MAGNet] OSX 10.2 dock prefs disappear

Hello --

My Dock preferences have disappeared a couple of times when I
[properly] shut down the computer. I'm on "Jaguar" -- OS 10.2. On
two occasions when I've booted up in the morning, the dock has
appeared in its default bottom-screen position (I like it on the
right) with all the default icons and none of those I've put in
myself. Any information out there? I've done a cursory search at
apple but didn't find any references.
