Hi all,

As you may know the campus recently made CalNet Authentication services
(AWS) available to many Windows and Unix webservers, however they stopped
short of supporting Macintosh webservers. What they are supporting for the
other platforms is something they call an "AWSTokenDecode" module. This
module decodes authentication tokens received from the CalNet
Authentication Web Server and is used by a web server to authentication
customers using the CalNet ID. To read more about it see:
http://software.berkeley.edu/AWSTokenDecode/

They say the core decoding is simple C and should be adaptable by an
experienced Macintosh OS programmer to the particular methods of a
particular web server. The command line and pipe output parts would have to
be converted for Macintosh OS and the web server's or web scripting
language's programming interface. Since I need the CalNet authentication
for a mac webserver, I'm looking for someone who has already done this or
someone who thinks this is doable.

If you have any good ideas please let me know,
Thanks,
Tim
