The 12th UC Computing Services Conference (UCCSC) is coming up in
July at UCLA. (Here's the URL: http://uccsc.ats.ucla.edu/)

The UC-wide technology acquisition group (known as "TAS") usually
makes a presentation at UCCSC. TAS is a group of representatives
from all the campuses, the UC-managed Federal labs, and UC's Office
of the President. We have a standing monthly conference call and an
active mailing list. Our purpose is to collaborate on information
technology acquisitions when it makes sense to do so. We negotiate
volume purchases, discount schedules, and so on. Of course, there's
a website: http://www.ucop.edu/irc/tas/

The TAS group would like to try something different in the way of a
UCCSC presentation this year. So I would like to hear your
suggestions for topics that might be covered, or the format for the
session. What would be interesting to you in regard to IT
acquisitions, or in regard to the TAS process? How could the TAS
group better address your department's needs?

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks.
