Yes, it is possible to get a G3 logic board in that case (Apple
actually offered this as an upgrade for a little while). You need a
logic board for the original PowerBook G3 (often referred to as the
"3500" or "Kanga"). You might check out http://www.shrevesystems.com
for such things. One note--even though this is a G3, it does NOT
(and will not) work with Mac OS X.
At this point, though, it might make more sense to just purchase a
new laptop....
